Delivery times

Do not accept any open or damaged parcel; no recourse will be possible with the postal service if you do so. Your order is processed as soon as it is received. Deliveries in mainland France will be made within 8 days of payment, by La Poste Colissimo Suivi or by courier. For export: 3 weeks. There is a flat-rate charge for shipping of €0.99 in mainland France. For purchases to be delivered in other countries and the French Overseas Territories, please contact us.

1. Acceptance of Conditions

The customer acknowledges awareness of the specific terms and conditions of sale when placing the order, and declares acceptance of these terms without reserve. These general terms and conditions of sale govern the contractual relations between Groupe JLF and the customer, and are accepted by both parties without reserve. These general terms and conditions of sale prevail over any other terms that appear in any other document, unless with prior written exemption.

2. Products

Photographs illustrating products are not contractually binding. Groupe JLF may not be held liable under any circumstances whatsoever for any error. All products offered to customers by Groupe JLF are in stock in our warehouse.

3. Ordering

The automatic order placement systems are considered as proof of the nature, content and date of the order. Groupe JLF confirms the acceptance of the customer’s order by email to the address provided by the customer. The sale is completed only once the order has been confirmed. Groupe JLF reserves the right to cancel any order placed by a customer with whom there is an existing dispute regarding the payment of a previous order. The purchaser is held accountable for the information provided when placing the order: in the event of an error in the delivery address, the vendor shall not be held responsible for any impossibility to deliver the product.

4. Delivery

On order confirmation, Groupe JLF promises to deliver all product references ordered by the purchaser to the courier within a maximum of 8 days. The courier is contractually bound to deliver the order to the address of the purchaser provided by Groupe JLF. Where the option of payment on delivery has been chosen, the customer promises to pay the courier or their representative the full amount of the sum given in the order confirmation. For deliveries outside mainland France, the customer promises to pay all taxes for product importation, customs duty, value-added tax, and all other taxes due according to the laws of the country of delivery of the order. All orders placed with Groupe JLF are designed for personal customer use. Customers or product recipients shall refrain from any partial or total resale of the products. Groupe JLF refuses all legal responsibility if taxes remain unpaid by the customer. Delivery within mainland France will be made by La Poste (Colissimo Suivi) or by courier. Any delay in delivery does not give the Purchaser the right to claim for damages. Deliveries to EEC countries are made by La Poste (Colissimo Suivi Europe), or by courier. Deliveries outside the EEC are made by international postal services, or by courier. For purchases of technical products, the customer shall take particular care in checking the condition of the delivered product. In the event of visible defects, the Purchaser enjoys the right to return products under the conditions set out in this document. The following situations are considered as cases of force majeure discharging the vendor from delivery obligations: war, riot, fire, industrial action, accidents, and the impossibility to acquire stock. Merchandise always travels at the risk and peril of the recipient. Always check your parcel on delivery; you have 48 hours in which to report any reserves to the courier in the event of a missing or damaged product. For reasons of stock availability, one order may involve a number of deliveries; the customer only pays for a single delivery. If 2 different delivery locations are required, 2 separate orders need to be placed, with related delivery charges.

5. Retraction

You have 10 days from the date of delivery to try the items. If you would like an exchange or refund, return the new item(s) intact and in their original packaging, together with any accessories, the bill and documentation, to the following address: GROUPE JLF 30 Avenue Maison Blanche 16320 Villebois Lavalette France If the right to cancellation is exercised, Groupe JLF is contractually bound to refund the amounts paid by the customer, without charge, with the exception of shipping costs for returns. The refund is due within a maximum of 30 days.

6. Price

Prices are expressed in euros. The price shown on the product description does not include delivery. The price given in the order confirmation is the definitive price, including all taxes and VAT for France and EEC countries. This price includes the product price, handling and packaging costs, product protection, transport and commissioning costs.

7. Payment

The price billed to the customer is the price shown on the order confirmation sent by Groupe JLF. The product price is payable from the effective order date. Payments are made by bankcard bearing the CB logo. Etransaction provides the possibility of paying online via the secure server of the Banque Populaire Centre Atlantique. Your bank card no. is directed to the bank servers, so that your payment is made directly to a bank in a secure environment, without having to pass through the server of the Boutique, ensuring that your details are known only to our bank partner (BANQUE POPULAIRE CENTRE ATLANTIQUE). The order confirmed by the customer is considered effective only when the bank payment centres concerned have given their agreement. In the event of refusal by these centres, the order will be automatically cancelled, and the customer informed by email. In addition, Groupe JLF reserves the right to refuse any order from a customer with whom there is an existing dispute.

8. Disputes

This contract is subject to French law. Groupe JLF may not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury which may result from the malfunction or incorrect use of the products sold. This also applies to any product modifications made by the manufacturers. While care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the product information, Groupe JLF will not be held responsible for any minor errors or omissions. In the event of difficulties in the application of this contract, the purchaser has the possibility to attempt to find an amiable solution before taking legal action, in particular with the aid of: a professional association specialised in the sector, a consumer association or any other advisory body of their choice. It should be noted that attempts to find an amicable solution shall have no effect on the “short notice” period of the legal guarantee or the duration of the contractual guarantee. It should be noted that as a general rule, subject to the discretion of the courts, compliance with the provisions of this contract relative to the contractual guarantee supposes that the purchaser honours their financial commitments to the vendor. Complaints and objections shall always be received with attentive goodwill, it being assumed that any customer who takes the trouble to explain their situation is acting in good faith. In the event of a dispute, the customer shall first contact the company to attempt to reach an amicable solution. Failing this, the Tribunal de Commerce d’Angoulême (Commercial Court of Angoulême) is the sole competent authority, whatever the delivery location and whatever the mode of payment accepted.

9. Guarantee

Groupe JLF may not be held responsible under any circumstance whatsoever for non-compliance with the regulations and legislation in force in the country of delivery; the liability of Groupe JLF is systematically limited to the value of the product in question at the date of sale, with no possible recourse to the brand or the company producing the product. In any case, the customer enjoys the protection of the legal guarantee of fitness for use and freedom from hidden defects (art. 1625 et seq. of the French Code Civil). In the event that the purchaser is able to provide proof of hidden defects, the vendor has the legal obligation to rectify all consequences (art. 1641 et seq. of the Code Civil); if the purchaser wishes to take the matter to the courts, this must be done within the “short notice” period as from the date of discovery of the hidden defect (art. 1648 of the Code Civil).

10. Legal Information


The provision of personal information for the purposes of distance selling is compulsory, as this information is essential for the processing and delivery of orders, and for the drawing up of invoices and contracts of guarantee. Non-provision of this information shall lead to refusal of the order. In compliance with the French data protection legislation, the processing of this purchase-related personal information is the subject of a declaration to the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL, the French data protection authority). The customer has the right to have access to, modify, rectify or remove their personal data (Article 34 of the Act of the 6 January 1978), and may exercise this right by contacting Groupe JLF. In addition, Groupe JLF promises not to divulge or sell its customers’ contact details to any third party.
