This month, Sarah, 26, a barmaid in the Marais district of Paris, took the Lady’s Secret test.

« 8 hours on your feet, rushing to and fro to take orders and serve drinks, is exhausting for the whole body, but especially for the feet. Even in trainers! And then, as I’m small and like high heels, I wear them nearly every day. Not very high – because with a tray-load of 14 drinks, you need your balance – but even so.

So I slipped some No-Scratch insoles into my high-heeled shoes. It is quite strange and you wonder what difference this little bit of you-don’t-really-know-what will make. A plus point: it’s pretty easy to fit, though you need to take care because one side is sticky.

At the time, you don’t really feel the insoles. So it’s not uncomfortable. And then, you forget them! It is only 8 hours later that you notice the difference. Your feet, and especially your knees, hurt less. I wouldn’t say they’ve changed my life, but my feet would! And fortunately I’ve got some for the “glamour” evening of the 26th: when it has to be stilettos! »
